“Fishy Act to Impose War”

22 April 2025: The Start of a New Era in India-Pakistan Rivalry
After more than five years of relative peace, tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated once again. The tragic incident in Pahalgam, located in Indian-occupied Kashmir, where 22 to 25 innocent people (both tourists and locals) were killed, has shaken the region. This heart-wrenching event has become the trigger for renewed conflict.
Indian Reaction:
According to Indian media:
The attack specifically targeted Hindus.
It was allegedly carried out by Pakistan-backed terrorist organizations.
It has been declared an “act of war.”
The Indian government responded by unilaterally canceling the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, worsening the already fragile peace in the region. This drastic action raises serious concerns about the motives behind such decisions.
Pakistan’s Reaction:
The Pakistani government, media, and military have categorically denied any involvement.
They labeled the incident a false flag operation by India.
Pakistan condemned the cancellation of the Indus Waters Treaty as an aggressive and unjustified act of war.
They called for a third-party investigation, which India declined.
Meanwhile, the Indian media has continued to escalate the situation, pressuring the government to take military action and pushing narratives about capturing Azad Kashmir—rhetoric that threatens global peace.
My Opinion-
Facts:
National elections are near in India.
The Modi government is facing declining popularity.
Memories remain fresh of the 2019 incident, when Pakistan shot down two Indian jets and captured a pilot.
These factors suggest that a false flag operation could be strategically beneficial for the ruling party to gain support through nationalism.
Some critical questions:
Where were Indian armed forces during such a high-security lapse?
How did the attackers infiltrate deep into a sensitive area?
How was an FIR filed within minutes?
Why refuse third-party investigation if the truth is clear?
Why was the 1960 treaty revoked so suddenly?
Conclusion:
While I hope I am wrong, the current trajectory is deeply troubling. Instead of seeking justice, actions from both sides seem to be escalating tension.
May Allah help us preserve peace and protect innocent lives.
