Israeli Offensives Directed at Iran
Israel has conducted three airstrikes targeting Iran. A second wave of Israeli airstrikes is presently in progress in Tehran, with smoke visible near the Iranian presidential palace and the Supreme Leader’s office. As reported by Reuters, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is currently not in Tehran and has been relocated to a secure site.
The second wave of Israeli airstrikes in Tehran continues, with bombings occurring near the Iranian presidential palace and the Supreme Leader’s office. This Israeli aggression towards Iran is driving Iran to retaliate. Before this operation, US embassy staff were ordered to evacuate Israel right away, while Israel closed schools, prohibited gatherings, and advised the public to remain at home in expectation of a retaliatory attack from Iran. It is apparent that the US is poised to join this conflict at any time.
Israel has also targeted Iran with missiles launched from Iraq. Following Israel’s offensive against Iran, it is evident that Iran’s initial focus will be on Israel. Iran’s ballistic missiles are extremely perilous. Furthermore, the Israeli media has been propagating a significant amount of false information about these Iranian missiles. Israel maintains that even a few Iranian ballistic missiles could unleash a destructive force akin to the atomic bombs that devastated Hiroshima and Nagasaki. If this is accurate, then the United States is poised to join this conflict imminently. The American military is already deployed in the Persian Gulf. When the U.S. and Israel strike Iran in unison, the assault will be so formidable that it will leave Iran with no opportunity to launch a perilous counterattack against Israel.
The Prime Minister of Israel has consistently been pressing US President Donald Trump to launch an attack on Iran. During their most recent meeting in Washington, Netanyahu urged Trump to take immediate action against Iran. His demeanor was one of provocation, as he seemed to say, “Come on, hit me.” There is a saying that goes, “We are drowning, and we will pull you down with us.” Following the Israeli assault on Iran, the question of a plank or platform has emerged for Iran. The American relationship with Iran, akin to a pilgrimage, has persisted since the Shah of Iran was overthrown in 1979, but this once poetic relationship has now transformed into a “war connection.”
Iran has been participating in joint military operations with Russia and China in the Persian Gulf. US F-22 fighter jets were reported to be on standby at the Israeli base in Ovda, while additional C-17 cargo planes landed in Israel carrying missiles. More than 20 US aerial refueling tankers were also observed at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport, which refuels warplanes midair. The genie of Israeli military power has been released. Now, Russia, China, and North Korea are also eager to deflate the US superpower status. Some analysts believe that China will not openly support Iran in this conflict due to its billions in trade with the US. However, in the current climate, war can be a more profitable venture than investment. Regardless of the war’s trajectory, China is likely to access new global markets for trade. More crucially for China, if the US is defeated or humiliated, it will gain a strategic advantage over the US as a superpower. The key point is that Russia is already aligned with China. The primary reason for the US’s delay in attacking Iran is the fear that a defeat in Iran, similar to Vietnam and Afghanistan, would shatter its superpower aspirations. There are also reports suggesting that Iran is a nuclear power. Therefore, China would not hesitate to support Iran in wartime. Even with the US’s delayed attack, some passionate political analysts have been portraying Iran as a superpower in the media, which poses a significant threat to Israel’s existence.
Trump’s close advisors were of the opinion that if talks with Iran did not succeed, a collaborative operation between the US and Israel would become more probable. Prior to the escalation of conflict in the region, 11 nations had cautioned their citizens to exercise caution when traveling to the Middle East.
Several countries have initiated the evacuation of diplomats’ families and non-essential personnel from certain areas in the Middle East or have recommended that their citizens refrain from traveling to Iran.
Israeli military spokesperson Ella Wawieh reported that Israeli forces had conducted airstrikes on eight camps associated with Hezbollah’s ‘Ridwan Force Unit’ located in the Baalbek area of Lebanon.
These camps were utilized for the storage of military supplies, weapons, and missiles.
This Israeli operation was executed to thwart any potential retaliation from Hezbollah in the event of an assault on Iran. As per Arab sources, if the US strikes on Iran were to be limited in scope, Hezbollah would likely refrain from military intervention. However, if the objective was to dismantle the Iranian regime or to specifically target Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Hezbollah would take action which would directly threaten Israel.
Israel believes that a US offensive against Iran will reinforce its survival and integrity. However, if Iran is allowed to recuperate after the attacks on Israel and the US, it could potentially result in Israel’s extinction. The confidential information that US intelligence possesses is quite troubling for Israel. Regardless of the outcome of the US’s military action against Iran, whether it is a victory or defeat, the entire burden of Iran and its allies will be placed on Israel. The possible ramifications of the conflict that Israel and the US have initiated against Iran in the region will be crucial, and both the Israeli-US assault on Iran and the expected Iranian response against Israel will be critical.
