Ambassador Imran Ali Empowering Women
Under the auspices of the Embassy of Pakistan in the Sultanate of Oman ” Empower her ” was the theme and the brilliance of the designer lighting in the auditorium of NBO Headquarters got much brighter, yesterday morning, as around 20+ ladies with illustrious backgrounds held aloft their shimmering certificate’s of appreciation symbolizing the rise and triumph of #empower_her ceremony in the Sultanate.
The Second edition of the Woman Awards, organized by H.E Dr. Mohd. Imran Ali Chaudhary – Ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman, was held at a glittering function.
A plethora of guests and community members attended this August gathering. Chief guest was a Royal Princess Her Highness Sayyida Hujaija Jaifer Al Said along with Ambassadors designated to the Sultanate from Philippines, Libya and Tanzania were also present.
At the outset, H.E Dr. Mohd. Imran Ali Chaudhary – Ambassador and his better half Ms. Naureen who herself is a decorated officer along with their talented daughter Iqra, welcomed the guests, the nominee’s hailing from Oman , Pakistan & India lauded their exceptional contributions in varied fields of activity. He encouraged them to continue their good work as well as keep inspiring other women. Pupils from Pakistan Schools Muscat amazed the audience with their mesmerizing performances. In Quran Allah has gifted us with a whole chapter by the name of Surah Al Nisa which talks about fairness and Equity for women and this yesterdays initiative has broken the stereo types mindset of our society where women face discriminations from birth, denied education, married off early and subjected to sexual attacks. They are seen as objects of household work and viewed as mere child bearing machines and it is very crucial to change this mindset which Ambassador Dr. Mohd. Imran Ali has practically done and he deserves a standing ovation for this.
