Farmers’ success is synonymous with national success: Sheikh Aftab
Attock (City Reporter), Member of the National Assembly and Supreme Judicial Council, Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, stated that, following the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a comprehensive farmer-friendly policy is being put into action to ensure the prosperity of Pakistan’s farmers. He shared these remarks while serving as the special guest at a ceremony for distributing motorcycles to veterinary staff at the Livestock Attock office. He was joined by Additional Director Livestock Tauseef Tahir, Livestock Officer Najab Iqbal Malik, former Chairman of Attock Municipality Sheikh Nasir Mahmood, President of Pakistan Muslim League-N Attock District Saleem Shahzad, District Information Secretary Pakistan Muslim League-N Dr. Mian Rashid Mushtaq, and PML-N leader Talal Ashraf Butt, along with Saqib Babu, Malik Ramzan Asghar, and columnist Dr. Shuja Akhtar Awan. A significant number of local leaders, officials, and other attendees were also present. During his speech, Member of the National Assembly Sheikh Aftab Ahmed emphasized that Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif is deploying all available resources for the advancement of livestock throughout the province.
He indicated that in this context, during the first phase, the Livestock and Dairy Development Department of Attock provided an initial 56 motorcycles to the para-veterinary staff. This effort aims to enhance the effectiveness of the veterinary sector in rural areas and to ensure that livestock farmers receive timely treatment and vaccination services. A total of 106 motorcycles will be distributed to the veterinary staff in different phases. The chief guest further remarked in his address that the Pakistan Muslim League (N) has consistently developed policies that are favorable to farmers, enabling them to achieve self-sufficiency and prosperity. He asserted that the prosperity of farmers is directly linked to the prosperity of the country. Initially, 56 motorcycles are being allocated, with additional motorcycles to be provided after six months, continuing this series of farmer-friendly policies. Former Vice Chairman of Attock Municipality, Nasir Mahmood Sheikh, Additional Director of Livestock, Tauseef Tahir, and other speakers also addressed the audience. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the chief guest distributed motorcycles to the veterinary staff, after which he led a motorcycle rally. The political and social communities of Attock also acknowledged the contributions of Additional Director Dr. Tauseef Tahir for his excellent performance in livestock management.
