Government Postgraduate Degree College Attock wins provincial badminton championship
Attock (From Hisham Khan Awan/News Editor) Government Postgraduate Degree College Attock has emerged victorious in the provincial badminton championship. The college’s team secured the trophy by defeating Gujranwala in the semi-finals and overcoming Lahore Division in the final match. This esteemed institution, known for its rich history in Punjab, has consistently excelled in sports and various extracurricular activities alongside its academic pursuits. During the concluding rounds of the 3rd Higher Education Department Games 2025, the champion team from Rawalpindi Division, Government College Attock, achieved another remarkable victory by clinching the provincial badminton championship title on Thursday.
Attock College triumphed over the Lahore Division team in the final match held at Government Islamia College Civil Lines, their home ground. In the semi-finals, they secured victory against the Gujranwala Division team. Following this remarkable achievement, the Director of Colleges for the Rawalpindi Division and Deputy Director of Colleges Attock, Professor Arshad Khan, along with various educational and social communities in the division, extended their congratulations to Dr. Syed Muhammad Imran, the Principal of Government Postgraduate Degree College Attock. Dr. Imran has been dedicated to enhancing the college’s reputation and development. He also commended players Ramish and Iftikhar Ahmed, as well as their coaches, Professor Aitzaz Aziz and Professor Asif Hayat, for their outstanding performance, recognizing their hard work and commitment to bringing honor to the college.
