By Maimoonah Moola Gori
Shumaila Munib, who writes under the pen name Shumail Munib, belongs to Faisalabad, Pakistan. She completed her M Phil in Urdu literature and has dedicated herself to the study and promotion of Muslim sacred literature. Shumail Munib’s latest research, a compilation of Islamic nursery rhymes, is an important attempt to shape the minds of children with faith, wisdom, and moral integrity. Islamic rhymes serve as a powerful means of preserving religious values for the new generation, bringing them closer to the Islamic way of life. These rhymes not only describe the greatness of Prophet Muhammad but also remind people that the teachings of the Prophet are a source of guidance for all ages. Her book, Islamic Rhymes, is not only a collection of poems but also introduces the biographies of the poets. It is a gateway to inculcate love for Allah and His Messenger in the hearts of children.
Through captivating rhymes, she aims to promote spiritual awareness, strengthen cultural identity, and enhance cognitive and linguistic development in Muslim children. These rhymes become a child’s first lessons in kindness, gratitude, and respect, leaving a lasting impression on their character. As an educator, I deeply appreciate her remarkable work that will inspire generations to grow up with faith, trust and a deep connection to their Islamic heritage. This book includes a thoughtful selection of poems that highlight the love for Allah and the Prophet making it a valuable resource for parents and teachers Shumail Munib‘s hard work and dedication is evident in this researchable compilation. I am confident that Islamic Rhymes for Children will encourage moral and spiritual awareness, promote Islamic values and become a treasured addition to children’s literature. I pray that this book will prove to be a means of salvation for Shumail in the hereafter and moreover bring blessings to the children of the Muslim Ummah to fill their hearts with the love of the Prophet Ameen.
