Attock (From Hisham Khan Awan/News Editor) Anil Saeed, the Additional Deputy Commissioner General of Attock, stated that the district administration is fully prepared to address the challenges posed by the monsoon season and potential flooding. He made these remarks while leading a meeting of the District Emergency Board in Attock. Present at the meeting were District Emergency Officer and District InCharge of Rescue 1122, Ali Hussain, Female Assistant Commissioner of Tehsil Attock, Anza Abbasi, Chief Officer of the Municipal Corporation Attock, Sardar Aftab Ahmed Khan, Regional Forest Officer Azhar Abbas, Sub-Divisional Forest Officer Muhammad Usman, along with representatives from the Health Department, Education Department, Traffic Police, Livestock Department, and other relevant agencies.
In the course of the meeting, Ali Hussain, the District Incharge of Rescue 1122, along with the District Emergency Officer of Attock, presented a thorough briefing to the participants. Key topics included the issue of encroachments on waterways, de-silting activities, flood relief camps, collaborative inspections, the application of Section 144, trial exercises, the setup of control rooms, and other relevant matters. The meeting also reviewed the fire incidents occurring in Kala Chitta Mountain and discussed preventive strategies. Azhar Abbas, the Regional Forest Officer for Attock, provided an extensive overview of forest-related issues during the session.
