The Literary Endeavors of The Campbellpur Academy of Letters
Attock (From Hisham Khan Awan/News Editor) Recently, a notable delegation including Sheikh Ahsanuddin, a respected senior lawyer from the District Bar Association Attock and ex-president of the Lahore High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi Bench, Barrister Malik Azan Awan, Waqar Qadir Advocate, prominent social figure Mian Mudassar Ahmed, and senior analyst Hisham Khan Awan, made a special visit to the Academy of Letters’ district office in Campbellpur, located at the Municipal Committee Library Attock, to obtain their membership in the Academy.
The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished individuals, including Ahmed Ali Saqib, the District President of the Academy of Letters, Tahir Asir, a prominent Urdu poet, researcher, and author of the historical book “Jab Campbellpur Jal Raha Tha,” and Agha Syed Jahangir Ali Bukhari, who served as the former Urdu editor for Wikipedia and is the founding editor of the first online magazine in the 121-year history of Attock district.
In a historic milestone for the 121-year-old Attock district, a new literary organization has been formed, receiving exceptional support from the head of the Attock District Administration, Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza. The residents of Attock are actively engaging with this organization in significant numbers.
